BEHIND THE BRAND
I have always been interested in how people remember.
How a look, a movement or a sound can make us travel back in time – exactly how it felt.
Before I started photography, I played music at weddings. From 2003 to 2020, I was behind the guitar, with the microphone – and later behind the DJ desk. That means I have been a part of weddings for more than 22 years. I have felt the atmosphere in the room before the wedding. I have seen how music, mood and timing make all the difference. And that is exactly the understanding that I bring to my work as a photographer and videographer today – to create calm, rhythm and presence through images and films. And I have been doing that for the last 13 years.
Stillwater Stories is my next chapter. Born out of Wonderful Weddings – a name many already know, and which I have built over the past many years. But Stillwater Stories is more than a rebranding. It is a natural evolution. A new level of aesthetics, calm and storytelling. The same person behind it – but with an even greater awareness of what I want to create, and who I want to create it for.
I grew up across countries and cultures – first in what was then Yugoslavia, then in Sweden and Denmark. It has taught me that love looks different, but feels the same when it is real. That is why my work is not about perfection, but about authenticity. About creating a calm where people dare to be themselves, and where memories can breathe.
I believe that photography and film should not just document, but move.
They should remind you of who you were when everything felt most powerful.
As a family man, I know what really matters: family, caring, and memories that last.
And that's why I take my work so seriously – because the stories I tell you also remind me of what matters to me. Every time.
